Beaverton Garden Club General Meeting with Speaker Brenda Near (Native Plants)

In this Presentation Brenda will discuss how she created her own native plant prairie garden and show the fascinating bees and some other insects she has learned about since planting native plants. She will explore in some detail the characteristics and life cycles of several native bee species and discuss gardening practices that can help support these important creatures.  The presentation will also explore the connection between bees and flowers and their mutualistic and sometimes antagonistic relationship and how the two have co-evolved together.
