Beautifying Beaverton Since 1922!
Our emblem is the Scotch Thistle which symbolizes endurance, unity and strength!
HAPPY 100th ANNIVERSARY to us!
Welcome to all aspiring, novice and expert gardeners! Summer is almost here and time to get started planting your flower and vegetable gardens and/or container pots. It is Canada's YEAR OF THE GARDEN - PLANT RED!
The Beaverton Horticultural Society (BHS) is a volunteer run, non-profit organization and a member of the Ontario Horticultural Association (District 17). At our 2021 AGM, members voted to "nickname" our society as the Beaverton Garden Club (BGC), however, the Beaverton Horticultural Society will still remain as our legal name as required by OMAFRA. After a two year hiatus of most in-person activities, we have lots of exciting events planned this year -- interesting speakers, workshops, and a plant sale and celebrating our 100th anniversary (May 21). Be sure to check out our upcoming events and event calendar! We have also received approval from the Town to continue our community garden initiative at the Beaverton Harbour and will also plan on doing a community garden at Fox Park.
Upcoming events include our flower/design show and design workshop on May 26. To RSVP for the free workshop for members, please check out the upcoming events. To find out about the flower/design show categories, the document is located in our Member Section (password required).
