HAPPY 100th ANNIVERSARY to us!
Welcome to all aspiring, novice and expert gardeners! June is here! Be inspired! Bees are buzzing and peonies, roses, iris and clematis are blooming. Our flowers and vegetable gardens are enjoying the longer days and warmth.
The Beaverton Horticultural Society (BHS) is a volunteer run, non-profit organization and a member of the Ontario Horticultural Association (District 17). We are located in Beaverton, Ontario, CANADA! At our 2021 AGM, members voted to "nickname" our society as the Beaverton Garden Club (BGC), however, the Beaverton Horticultural Society will still remain as our legal name as required by OMAFRA. After a two year hiatus of most in-person activities, we have lots of exciting events planned this year. Be sure to check out our upcoming events and event calendar! We have also received approval from the Town to continue our community garden initiative at the Beaverton Harbour and are working on our community garden at Fox Park.
Upcoming events include our June 23 flower/design show and presentation on unique container gardens by Jackie Morra.
No matter the size of your backyard or balcony, getting in touch with nature is the new prescription for mental, spiritual and physical health. Jackie Morra is a popular speaker at garden shows and events across Canada and has been featured in various media such as Breakfast Television, Global TV- The Morning Show, City TV, Toronto Star, Globe and Mail to name a few.
To find out about the flower/design show categories, the document is located in our Member Section (password required) or just send us an email.
