VOLUNTEER

Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.

Helen Keller

Volunteers are the foundation of our club and have contributed to its success since 1922.  Without our volunteers we would not exist.  The more volunteers we have the less work for all.

We rely on volunteers to help us maintain the civic gardens in Beaverton, operate our club, as well as deliver our services and programs to members.  Each year we are grateful to the volunteers whose time, skills, experience and enthusiasm help us to in our mission to educate, promote and support gardening in the Beaverton area.

Volunteering is a great way to meet like-minded people, use your skills or learn new ones.  You do not have to be an experienced gardener to help with our civic gardens!  We always need volunteers to help with planting, deadheading, pruning, weeding, spring/fall cleanup, and mulching.

In addition to tending our community/civic gardens, our club has many other volunteer opportunities for people of all skills and abilities.  These opportunities could include volunteering at such activities as Seedy Saturday and our Spring plant sale, and joining as a Board member or being part of one or more of our Committees.
